As Salaamu Alaikum Ismail and Isabelle.
thank you both for replying to my post. Sorry for the delayed response, my cat has an infection in his paw and its been round the clock worry, trying to find a good qualified vet, then trying to medicate my reluctant cat. Anyway, last night i admitted him into the vet hospital for the next 5 days for them to inject the antibiotic he needs, i just couldnt do it, and he wouldnt let me. So Now i am free (for the next 5 days at least to continue planning my malaysia trip. ..aahhh.
Ismail,am still a bit confused about how much money we need for a fixed deposit - dont know if its just me, but your 2 posts differed in the amount for over 50\'s. Nevermind, not to worry about it at this stage, inshallah, i will try to make contact with you when we arrive in KL.Will be there from 1st NOV until 9th NOV. Inshallah.
Please can you tell me, will everything shut down for the eid period like it does here in Cairo?
According to my diary(?) it says that eid is SUNDAY 6th NOV. Is weekend sat-sun in Malaysia (coz here in egypt weekend is friday and saturday)and if so, i was wondering what the eid public holiday days would be? can you tell me.
also, the Eid Prayers is there one central famous place in KL, or are there so many different places. the place we have rented is called Andalucia, pantai hill park (said to be 3 km from a place called mid valley). Is there a central place where eid prayers are held in that area do either of you know? it would be great if we know where to go for eid prayers.
And Isabelle, thankyou so much for always replying to my mail, i dont know whether you remember, but about a year ago, i blogged into this forum and you blogged back, we kinda arranged to meet, but then my malaysia trip got cancelled coz we had to go back to uk for a while instead. Anyway, Jazak Allahu Khairan for your helpful tips and advice, and if Allah swt wills, may we meet someday.
..PS- there doesnt seem to be anybody living in Penang on this forum!!!i always look to see and hope someone ffrom there blogs in, but als for me, no one ever has!

am wondering what kind of a place Penang will be. Am really hoping to see Muslims there, and hoping its not an ex-pat retirment pub, beach, culture like my image of spain or Portugal type of place. Am kinda hoping there will be a practising Muslim community where talks are arranged and i could get involved in the local comminuty activities inshallah. Do you have any knowledge on this?
